Hi, my name is Kaitlyn Bradbury and I would love to tell you about myself. I have attended Piper since pre-school. Piper has brought me nothing but amazing opportunities and people. While at Piper High School, I have participated in softball, volleyball, basketball, Pirates Bay, Piper Graphics, and prom committee. I have lettered all 4 years for the Lady Pirates varsity softball team. I lettered 2 of the 3 years that I played for the Lady Pirates volleyball team. I played for the girls basketball team my freshman year and was the manager my junior year. I have participated in Pirates Bay for the last two years. Pirates Bay is a student run business that sells snacks and drinks. I have participated in Piper Graphics one year and it has brought me nothing but fun opportunities and a chance to work with my creative side. I was on prom committee for my junior year, but sadly we were not able to have it due to COVID-19. 

 

Outside of Piper High School, I have a very busy life. Something that has taken up most of my weekends and weeknights is softball. I have played competitively since the 5th grade. I am so grateful for the sport because it has taught me life lessons and has shaped me into the person I am today. Softball has made me a hard worker, strong-willed, and has shown me what true dedication is. All of these qualities will help me in my future career. I am so very blessed to be continuing my academic and softball career at Kansas City Kansas Community College. I have the best support system that I could ask for, my family. My parents had me at a very young age, but they have done an amazing job giving my sister and I everything that we could ever need. I have seen my dad work so very hard and it pushes me to be as great as him. My mom is the strongest woman that I have ever met. My little sister, Kennedy, is my very best friend and our friendship will last a lifetime. I would not be the person I am today without them. They are my everything.

I would love for you to get to know me a little more, and this time not coming from myself. I reached out to some of my friends and family and asked them to describe me in 3 words. The most repeated words were, "hardworking, ambitious, passionate, outgoing, kind-hearted, reliable, and fearless." Personally, I am glad that I am the way I am.
